How to Play

Official Neu Bros. Original SlingSets Rules and Regulations

SlingSets is super easy to play.  Simply toss the slingball at the opposite tower.  Play singles or doubles.  Plus the primary differentiator is the Neu Brothers have added an additional 4th rear cross bar and several other twists to enhance the game. They’ve also created terms for the many wacky things the Slingballs do while playing. Like horseshoes and bocce ball, Sling Ball is a game where 2-4 people play against each other and try to score by wrapping the sling balls around 4 sets of cross bars.

Rules and Scoring:

RULES: The Back Bar is our differentiator and will have you laughing, crying, and amazed!

  • Set Sling Towers 25+ feet apart
  • To determine who starts match, play rock, paper, scissors
  • A match is the entire game. A turn is one toss.
  • A round is 6 tosses (3 by each player)
  • Players (Slingballers) must toss from behind the front ground bar and alternate sling tosses.
  • Throwing style is up to the player. (Past champs prefer the Sidewinder Style- See Optional Rules below).

SCORING:

  • TOP BAR = 1 POINT
  • MIDDLE BAR = 2 POINTS
  • BOTTOM BAR = 3 POINTS
  • REAR BAR = 4 POINTS
  • A "NEGATION" is when your Slingball lands on the same crossbar as competitor, canceling each other points.
  • Higher score from each round tosses first.
  • The first player to reach an exact score of 21 Wins the match.
  • If plater goes over 21 points in a round, player goes back to the previous score at the start of the round.

OPTIONAL RULES:

  • THREE RING CIRCUS (1 POINT): Scoring all 3 Slingballs on the same cross bar.
  • WATERFALL (1 POINT): Scoring 1 Slingball on each cross bar (Not including rear bar), with no negation.
  • SIDEWINDER (1 POINT): Rapping a Slingball around one of the 4 vertical side bars on the ground level. The rope of the Slingball must be crossed.
  • AUTOMATIC WIN: Snap back to opposite cross (Extremely rare and never been witnessed by humans!)

Safety Warning:

Slingballs and sets are hard projectiles and only meant for tossing at sling towers. Players should exercise extreme caution while playing to avoid injury to themselves and others. Slingballs and slingsets are recommended for ages 12 and over and children should always be supervised by an adult while playing. Make sure outdoor sling court and tossing area are clear of people, pets, and obstacles prior to each toss and never stand in an area where slingballs might be tossed or land. Possible choking hazard - adult supervision at all times.
